Apply for a New Hot Dog Cart License and Plan Review at the Same Time

Florida law requires owners of new public food service and new owners of existing establishments to obtain a license from the division before operating. In addition, plan review is required when the establishment is: 1) newly built, 2) converted from another use, 3) extensively remodeled or 4) re-opened after being closed at least 1 year. The application below is for a New Hot Dog Cart License with Plan Review.

Application Requirements:
 
  • For All:

    • Application: choose the correct application for your situation (Guide to Hot Dog Carts)
    • Fees: are calculated by application date and DUE at time of application

  • For Plan Review:

    • Plans: scale drawing or architectural plans showing and labeling all equipment, restrooms, and exits (see Plan Review Guide)
    • Menu: a copy of your menu, printed, typed, or handwritten
    • Photo: a picture of the cart with wheels showing
    • Commissary: hot dog carts MUST use a licensed commissary to store and prepare food. This will be your License Location address

    Please provide ALL required items at time of application to avoid delay.
