Inspector - Initial Certification by Endorsement (10 Year) (BCAIB 1)

ENDORSEMENT: Endorsement is licensure of individuals who have already taken and successfully passed an applicable examination administered by the International Code Council. Application must be made either when the license in another state or territory is active or within 2 years after such license was active.
AGE:
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and be of
good moral character.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: You must comply with one of these eligibility requirements.
LICENSE CERTIFICATION:
Must hold a valid building administrator, inspector,
plans examiner, or the equivalent certification issued by another state or
territory of the United States for at least 10 years before the date of
application.
EXAMINATION:
Applicants must take and pass the technical examination
and the Florida principles and practice examinations. For more information
regarding the Florida principles and practice examination, please review the
BCAIB P&P Examination Candidate Information Booklet.
- FEE: Pay the required fee as provided in the application. If applying online, you can pay with a credit card or electronic check. If mailing your application, please include a check payable to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Military veterans, their spouses and Florida National Guard members may be eligible for a fee waiver, fee reimbursement, and/or fee discount.
