Commercial Pool Inspector - Initial from Null & Void (Hardship) (BCAIB 9)
This application is used by individuals who are requesting that the Building Code Administrators and Inspectors Board reinstate their null and void license. Applicants must demonstrate to the Department that they failed to timely renew their license due to an economic hardship or illness.

- DEFINITIONS: A license becomes "null and void" after a licensee fails to renew the license for two consecutive licensure cycles. A null and void license cannot be reinstated unless the applicant demonstrates to the Department that he or she failed to renew the license due to an illness or economic hardship. There is no specific definition for "illness" or "economic hardship." The Department reviews each application on a case-by-case basis.
HARDSHIP: Applicants must ensure that the Explanation of Illness or Economic Hardship is completed in detail. - CONTINUING EDUCATION: Applicants must ensure that board-approved continuing education course completion certificates verifying at least 14 hours of continuing education are included with the application. These hours must have been completed in either the previous or current renewal period. For more information, please refer to our list of board-approved providers and courses.
- FEE: Pay the required fee as provided in the application. If applying online, you can pay with a credit card or electronic check. If mailing your application, please include a check payable to the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Military veterans, their spouses and Florida National Guard members may be eligible for a fee waiver, fee reimbursement, and/or fee discount.
