Professional Licensure under the Servicemember Civil Relief Act (SCRA 1)
This application is for any individual that has relocated to Florida due to military orders, and holds a valid license or certification for the corresponding profession in another state, District of Columbia, any possession or territory of the United States, or any foreign jurisdiction; and is currently serving, as an active duty member of the Armed Forces of the United States or is a spouse of such member who wishes to qualify for Professional License Portability in Florida under the Servicemember Civil Relief Act (SCRA) pursuant to 50 U.S.C. 4025(a).

MILITARY MEMBERS:
Applicants that are currently serving as an active duty
member of the Armed Forces of the United States must provide a copy of his/her
military orders.
MILITARY SPOUSES:
Applicants that are spouses of a current active duty
member of the United States Armed Forces must provide a copy of their marriage
certificate to the military service member and a copy of their spouse''s
military orders.
CERTIFICATE OF LICENSURE:
Applicants must hold a valid license or certification for
the corresponding profession in another state, District of Columbia, any
possession or territory of the United States, or any foreign jurisdiction.
Applicants are required to provide a certificate of licensure from the
licensing authority where they are currently licensed, and a copy of the statutes and/or rules from their
jurisdiction that define the scope of work covered under their current license.
INSURANCE/BONDING
REQUIREMENTS:
Construction, Employee Leasing Companies,
Electrical, Home Inspectors, Mold Related Services and Talent Agent
applicants must comply with all
insurance and/or bonding requirements as required by the Florida laws and rules
governing the license sought.
CHANGE OF STATUS APPLICANTS:
Military members must submit a copy of their updated
military orders. Military spouses of a current active duty member of the United
States Armed Forces must provide a copy of their marriage certificate to the
military service member and a copy of their spouse''s current or updated
military orders.
FEE:
No fee required. Please note that once a license is
issued, the license holder will be responsible for meeting the renewal
requirements including any applicable fees.
