Apply for a Change of Ownership on an Existing Hotel License

Florida law requires owners of new public lodging establishments and new owners of existing establishments to obtain a license from the division before operating. The application process described below is for a change ownership for an existing Hotel license.

Application Requirements:

  • Human Trafficking: Lodging facilities are required to provide training for employees who perform housekeeping duties in the rental units or who work at the front desk or reception area where guests check in or check out. For more detailed information see our Human Trafficking page.
