Certified Residential Appraiser - Supervisor Designation/Termination Form (FREAB 14)

A certified residential appraiser wishes to supervise trainees or currently supervises trainees, will use this form to add or terminate trainees under their supervision.

Application Requirements:
 
  • SUPERVISOR REQUIREMENTS: All transactions must be completed by the Primary Supervisory Appraiser. The Primary Supervisory Appraiser must notify the Division of Real Estate of the name and address of any primary and Secondary Supervisory Appraiser and must also notify the division within 10 days after terminating such relationship. Primary, Secondary and Trainee must be affiliated with the same firm or business. Termination of a Primary Supervisor will automatically terminate the supervisory relationship with the Secondary Supervisor. 

    A supervisory appraiser must have been certified as a Residential or General Appraiser, for at least 3 years; a supervisory appraiser may not supervise more than three trainee appraisers at one time; a supervisory appraiser must be a current Certified General or Certified Residential Appraiser, in good standing, and under no disciplinary term, condition, or obligation with the Board, for at least the last three (3) years, prior to application.

    As of January 1, 2015 any Certified appraisers, who are adding Trainee appraisers to their license, will be required to complete the 3 hour Supervisor and Trainee course. The course is noted on the approved provider course list as ''S&T course''. The course must have been taken no earlier than December 1, 2014, as that is when the first course was made available. Once a Certified Appraiser has taken the course they will not be required to take it again for any future additions.
