Temporary Permit for Electronic Practice

Temporary permits for electronic practice are required of out-of-state CPAs or firms in each instance in which such out-of-state CPAs or firms wishes to practice public accounting in this state via electronic means to perform a specific engagement. A temporary permit is not required of a person entering the State of Florida solely for the purpose of preparing federal tax returns or advising as to federal tax matters.

Application Requirements:
 
  • APPLICATION: Complete the application by clicking on the "Online Services" link or the "Printable Application" link at the bottom of the page.

  • FEES: $400 non refundable fee is required with application.
  • EXPIRATION: Temporary permits are valid for 90 days from date of issuance and no license shall cover more than one engagement. Application for temporary permits must be filed and approved prior to commencement of the engagement.
