A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Floor, wall and/or ceiling soiled/has accumulation of debris.
Floors under fryers on cook line soiled with food debris and grease.
Also, floor under ice machine soiled with paper debris. **Repeat Violation**
Basic - Interior of oven/microwave has accumulation of black substance/grease/food debris.
Interior of microwave on cook line soiled with food debris. Manager had employee begin to clean. **Corrective Action Taken** **Repeat Violation**
Basic - Nonfood-contact surface soiled with grease, food debris, dirt, slime or dust.
Multiple gaskets on cook line soiled with food debris.
Also, under side of frappe machine and creamer machine near nozzles soiled with old food residue. Manager began cleaning during inspection. **Corrective Action Taken** **Repeat Violation**
Basic - Single-service articles not stored inverted or protected from contamination.
At drive thru, plastic to go drink cups in sleeve on soda machine not covered. Manager put lids on top of all cup containers. **Corrected On-Site** **Repeat Violation**
High Priority - Employee touched face/hair and then engaged in food preparation, handled clean equipment or utensils, or touched unwrapped single-service items without washing hands.
Upon arrival inspector observed employee at drive thru window touch hair with bare hands and then handle hash browns with hands while bagging customers to go food. Manager coached employee on proper handwashing procedures. Employee washed hands correctly. **Corrective Action Taken**
Intermediate - Food-contact surface soiled with food debris, mold-like substance or slime.
Interior of orange juice nozzles at front line soiled with juice residue.
Also, soda nozzles on soda machines in lobby soiled with build up residue. **Repeat Violation**
