A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Accumulation of dead or trapped birds, insects, rodents, or other pests, in control devices.
Observed approximately 8 dead small flying dead insects in fly sticky tape near warewashing area. **Repeat Violation** **Warning**
Basic - Bowl or other container with no handle used to dispense food.
Observed a cup used to dispense flour. Operator removed. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**
Basic - Employee beverage container on a food preparation table or over/next to clean equipment/utensils.
Observed employee's drink stored on prep table at cook line. Operator removed. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**
Basic - Employee drinking from an unenclosed beverage container in a food preparation/clean dishware area and the container does not have a dispensing mechanism to prevent hand contact with lip contact area of drink container.
Observed employee drinking from a glass with no dispensing mechanism at cook line. **Warning**
High Priority - Rodent activity present as evidenced by rodent droppings found.
Observed approximately 15 rodent droppings on top of dishwashing machine. Operator removed. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**
High Priority - Time/temperature control for safety food cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit.
Observed at cook line shrimp tempura batter with milk 76f. Per operator food not prepared or portioned today. Food held out of temperature for less than four hours. Observed food stored under no temperature control. Operator placed into reach in cooler to quick chill. **Corrective Action Taken** **Warning**
Intermediate - Handwash sink used for purposes other than handwashing.
