A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Insect control device installed over food preparation area.
Pest control device installed on wall above single-use bottles on prep table in kitchen. Manager moved the bottles away from the bug light. **Corrective Action Taken**
Basic - Nonfood-contact surface soiled with grease, food debris, dirt, slime or dust.
Area around nozzles of fountain machine in lobby soiled with mold-like substance. **Repeat Violation**
Basic - Objectionable odors in bathroom or other areas of the establishment.
Objectionable odor near grease trap in kitchen. Grease trap lid has a hole temporarily repaired with duct tape.
Basic - Opened employee beverage container in a cold holding unit with food to be served to customers.
Employee drink cup stored on shelf in walk-in freezer above bags of food. Manager removed the drink cup during this inspection. **Corrected On-Site**
Basic - Single-service articles improperly stored.
Box containing single-use bottles stored directly on floor in kitchen. Manager removed the bottles from the floor during this inspection. **Corrected On-Site**
High Priority - Toxic substance/chemical improperly stored.
Bottle containing acetone stored on shelf below front counter above box containing single-use cups. Manager removed the chemical from the shelf during this inspection. **Corrected On-Site**
