A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Ceiling/ceiling tile shows damage or is in disrepair. Observed hole on kitchen ceiling on top of oven. Also observed water damage in front dining area on top big screen tv.
Basic - Dead roaches on premises. Observed 3 dead roaches behind beer reach in cooler at front counter. Also observed 3 dead roaches under metal rack in dry storage area. Employee swept clean during inspection. **Corrected On-Site**
Basic - Food stored on floor. Observed bag of white rice being stored on the floor at dry storage area. Employee removed and stored properly. **Corrected On-Site**
Basic - No handwashing sign provided at a hand sink used by food employees. Observed no handwashing sign at employee bathroom. Provided operator with handwashing sign via email.
Intermediate - Food-contact surface soiled with food debris, mold-like substance or slime. Observed white cutting board with food debris at dry storage area. Employee removed and washed property during inspection. **Corrected On-Site**
Intermediate - No paper towels or mechanical hand drying device provided at handwash sink. Observed no paper towels inside customers bathroom. Employee provided during inspection. **Corrected On-Site**
