A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Employee personal items stored in or above a food preparation area, observed medicine stored in shelf with food in dry storage area infront of cookline. Operator removed medicine. **Corrected On-Site** **Warning**
Basic - Label on a food item prepared and packaged onsite for customer self-service does not include product identity/description, date product was packaged and name and address of the establishment that prepared and packaged the food. Observed juice and cake in self service reachin cooler in dining room. **Warning**
High Priority - Employee washed hands with no soap. Observed cook washed hands with no soap after cleaning floor then proceed to put on gloves, placed fries to cook with gloved hand. **Warning**
High Priority - Live, small flying insects in kitchen, food preparation area, or food storage area. Observed 6 live flies flying around open garbage can and landing onto prep table in kitchen. No food is observed on prep table at this time. **Warning**
Intermediate - Manager lacking proof of food manager certification. A list of accredited food manager certification examination providers can be found at http://www.myfloridalicense.com/DBPR/hotels-restaurants/food-lodging/food-manager/. No proof observed. **Warning**
Intermediate - No paper towels or mechanical hand drying device / paper towel provided at handwash sink in kitchen,
- no soap in ladies restroom. **Warning**
