The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Ceiling not smooth, nonabsorbent and easily cleanable in food preparation, food storage, warewashing areas or bathroom. Found ceiling tile were acoustic tiles and that they were smooth or cleanable , to correct change ceiling tile to cleanable kitchen approved ceiling tiles
Basic - Lights in food preparation, food storage or warewashing area missing the proper shield, sleeve coatings or covers. Found no-covers or proper shielding on the ligthts in the kitchen/storage area. To correct provide cover , shielding or plastic tubes covering lights.
Basic - Nonfood-grade bags used in direct contact with food. found in walk in cooler raw food stored in thank you plastic bags, to correct, must remove food items from printed plastic thank you bags, manager removed **Corrected On-Site**
Basic - Potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) food thawed in standing water. Found food in standing water being thawed out, explained to pic that food needs to be under cool running water or in the cooler to be thawed out. Pic. Chicken in standing water manager turned water on **Corrected On-Site**
Basic - Reach-in cooler gasket torn/in disrepair. Found the door gaskets of the door prep top cooler cracked and torn. To correct repair/replace door gaskets.
High Priority - Operating with an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license. Less than thirty days manager paid , verification number 197033649 **Corrected On-Site**
Intermediate - No paper towels or mechanical hand drying device provided at handwash sink. Found no hand towels available in the cooking/prep area kitchen handsink and in the prep station hand-sink. To correct provide hand soap and keep paper towels dispensers filled. Manager filled **Corrected On-Site**
