A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
High Priority - - From initial inspection : High Priority - Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found.
Observed 14 live roaches in establishment: 4 on top of ice machine in kitchen area, 3 on wall behind ice machine, 3 inside warming oven where rice is kept warm, 2 near floor drain by dish area, and 2 on wall in dish area. Manager killed 3 roaches and discarded. **Corrective Action Taken** **Admin Complaint** - From follow-up inspection 2021-02-25: 3 live roaches observed in establishment: 1 on wall behind salsa cooler in server area, 1 by busses area in dining area, and 1 by booth near cashier area. All roaches killed and discarded. **Time Extended** **Corrective Action Taken** - From follow-up inspection 2021-02-25: Observed 2 live roaches in establishment: 1 on rack above dish area where clean pans are stored and 1 under microwave on cook line.
