A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Ceiling not smooth, nonabsorbent and easily cleanable in food preparation, food storage, or warewashing areas. Acoustic ceiling tiles in cook line area. **Warning**
Basic - Hole in or other damage to wall. Hole in wall next to tall double door reach-in freezer.
Ceiling/ceiling tile shows damage or is in disrepair. Ceiling tiles above shelves for dry goods in kitchen. Hole in ceiling tile above tall double door reach-in freezer.
Building components, attachments or fixtures in poor repair. Handwash sink of men's room is cracked and missing a piece of it. **Warning**
High Priority - Operating with an expired Division of Hotels and Restaurants license. Expiration 02/01/2021. Operator attempted to renew license but accidentally marked the disabled veteran discount button and it is now holding up the renewal. Intermediate - Food-contact surface soiled with food debris, mold-like substance or slime. Staining on cutting board of double door reach-in cooler. Sandwich press with old food debris. **Repeat Violation** **Warning**
Intermediate - Required employee training expired for some employees. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (SafeStaff) 866-372-7233. Employees trained through Safe Food Systems, some food handler certificates expired 03/20/2021. Operator provided two certificates that are current. **Warning**
