A summary of the violations found during the inspection are listed below.
The department cites violations of Florida's sanitation and safety laws,
which are based on the standards of U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Food Code.
High Priority violations are those which could contribute directly to a foodborne
illness or injury and include items such as cooking, reheating, cooling and hand-washing.
Intermediate violations are those which, if not addressed, could lead to risk factors
that contribute to foodborne illness or injury. These violations include personnel training,
documentation or record keeping and labeling. Basic violations are those which are considered
best practices to implement. While most establishments correct all violations in a timely
manner (often during the inspection), the division's procedures are designed to compel
compliance with all violations through follow-up visits, administration action or closure
when necessary.
Basic - Accumulation of black/green mold-like substance in the interior of the ice machine/bin. Deflector in ice bin of ice machine at bar near kitchen soiled with black mold like substance, main bar ice scoop and interior ice bin soiled with black mold like substance.
Basic - Covered waste receptacle not provided in women's bathroom. Ladies room in bar near kitchen, trash cans not covered receptacles that are currently in place.
Basic - Exterior door has a gap at the threshold that opens to the outside. Side door near ice machine in main bar area gap at bottom of the door, sunlight visible.
Basic - Reach-in cooler interior/shelves have accumulation of soil residues. Mold musty smell from reach in cooler unit inside main bar. Unopened Juice container with mold like growth on exterior.
High Priority - Air gap between water supply inlet and flood rim of equipment/sink is less than one inch. Floor drain under manager on duty sink no 1" air gap, drain placed fully in floor drain.
High Priority - Ready-to-eat, time/temperature control for safety food marked with a date that exceeds 7 days after opening/preparation. Milk open 3 days prior not date marked. Corrected **Corrected On-Site**
Intermediate - Food-contact surface soiled with food debris, mold-like substance or slime. Soda/beverage guns and both outside and main bar soiled with pink mold like substance
Intermediate - No proof of required state approved employee training provided for employee hired more than 60 days ago. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (SafeStaff) 866-372-7233. Austin working over 1 year at location without food safety training.
